I am third generation Potawatomi and feel so blessed to be part of a large family who is full-blooded Potawatomi. My mom Christine, my grandmother Margaret and great-aunt Jude have been the biggest influences in my life. I work at the Casino in Dowagiac but I also carry on the traditions of my family by creating baskets and teaching others the art of quilling. I’ve grown up living the culture; it’s who I am. I look forward to teaching my child everything I’ve learned. He will know everything his Elders have done for him.
