When people come into my tattoo studio, they’re sometimes surprised to learn I’m Native American and my roots run deep in The Pokagon Band and Potawatomi culture. I am an artist at heart, and am always creating. It is through my illustrations and bead work that I can most honor my ancestors and heritage. As a business owner, I have a unique opportunity to be part of two different communities. With my Tribal community, I perform traditional music through the Ribbontown Singers, as well as perform traditional dances and drumming. As an entrepreneur, I honor my artistic side through tattooing and as a toy maker. I have four children, all who are learning the traditions and culture of our Tribe. They too celebrate their heritage and do what they can to keep it alive.
